The partners and the network

The 2005 Summer Seminar brought together international experts, representing 15 islands from 10 countries.

The 2005 International Symposium was opened to a broader public of energy actors from Islands and Regions: politic representatives, public administrations, energy operators, education and training managers as well as researchers.

Consequently to the 2005 Energy Meetings, the Island-News network was launched. Its first members were the persons present at the meetings.

Now, the network is open to all categories of energy actors:

Political representatives and local public officials
Public administrations
Development and Environment Protection Associations
Energy agencies as well as associations promoting energy management and renewable energy sources
Energy companies
Technical experts: engineers, researchers and academics
Engineering and design companies as well as consulting companies
Education and training managers
